So, I didn't, in fact, end up buying the house. The inspection, to my surprise, went very poorly indeed, and I decided to walk away. I was really upset that day. So I zipped out to Squamish for a really quick visit and look around. The property is gorgeous, nestled in the forest on a really cool farm. I definitely see the appeal. Not that long ago Mike made a comment to me about how I must be so disappointed, that I got neither the boyfriend nor the cat that I wanted. Yesterday was a bit better. The talk with Stevie has really helped me have a clearer perspective on this, and while it still hurts like hell, it also feels like maybe a scab is starting to form, like the wound isn't quite so raw.
